The Dresden Files and the Nemean

I think the show's pretty fun, but it came to mind because of one scene in "Storm Front" (Sunday's episode -- and I know the book is a million times better and whatever, etc, etc -- not about that) that is pretty much how I visualized what Boston is like in Mage.
In it, Ancient Mai meets with Dresden in a restaurant and she's just pigging out on ribs -- really acting like an uncouth bastard -- while Morgan behaves in a more refined, coherent fashion. That's exactly the kind of thing I visualize if people go to meet the Nemean. Ignore the parts where Mai actually knocks Dresden around. Note how Mai being unreasonable never bars Harry Dresden from actually doing anything, but lights a fire under his ass and gets him going so that Morgan (who stands in nicely for Boston's Anacaona de Xaragua) can follow, gather intelligence and so on.
But mostly, it's the pigging out on the ribs. That's totally what the Nemean would do at a meeting. It's not the plans within plans and barbed words thing of a Vampire game, but a kind of seemingly pointless, utterly human form of rudeness.
Interestingly, the Nemean actually died in my game a few weeks back. In it, he was actually a deposed Torontonian. His bastardry had an interesting effect on the players. First of all, they took a liking to him as being something of a straight shooter and made a number of pretty impulsive deals with him, because he had the kind of charisma only rudely assertive people have. But after a while, once they realized he was actually a bad guy (and in my game, he was pretty damn bad), they got very, very cross with him.
