Let's say that I have products I'd like to sell and promote at Gencon, but I probably won't be able to attend myself. Let's also say that I'm willing to pay some money to anyone interested in setting aside table space and making a reasonable attempt to push my books. How much money would this cost?

If you have abstract answers to these questions, post 'em. If you have concrete offers, email 'em.

I'm pretty sure the GPA (Game Publishers Association - http://www.thegpa.org/ ) has space at the major cons where they will rep your fu - it's a co-op deal, AIR. So you'd likely be paying for a chunk of the table space, in addition to the GPA membership (twenty or sixty bucks) - I don't know if there's some additional cost to the folks actually repping the stuff, or not.

There is no extra charge beyond the booth space you buy, though if you want the Showcase booth to accept credit cards for your product there is a small percentage taken off your sales to cover the expenses for processing them. I've run the Showcase half a dozen times for them and we've always gotten checks out within 3-4 days after the end of the show. I'm pretty sure to be in the Showcase you have to be a full member, though, so the signup cost would be the full $60- however, for that you also get all the other GPA benefits, like the coop ads, the mailing list, etc. dw
